JO
After raising four children, empty nest syndrome set in for Jo, inspiring her to set her sights on animals. She volunteered at various local shelters and quickly realized she wanted to work with animals on a full-time basis. She has worked for one of the world's largest no-kill rescue/adoption centers in the world, assisting patients and their families with medical concerns. She has experience tending to the needs of both animal doctors and their fury patients, ensuring all parties had a welcoming experience. Jo's duties at the shelter also included driving for the Medical Center, escorting the resident animals to specialty appointments. She quickly became a permanent fixture in the rescue center, and she enjoyed all her time there.
"Although I love all animals I was drawn to the animals with special needs, whether the needs where medical or behavioral. I've trained many staff members and volunteers how to care for these animals and to help make them more adoptable."
Jo Has three rescue dogs; a Rottweiler, a Pit Bull mix and a Hound mix, She has also fostered dogs with extensive medical conditions, caring for them and giving them a home and love through their final days.
